Locations. If you bring some unit to the archon, then make a trigger which kills the archon AND the unit. If you've seen it in alotta maps, why don't you open those up to see how they did it? That's the best way of seeing how they do it.

Code
[Place condition here.]
------------------------------
[Action]
-Center a location on the unit you want to kill.
-Create whatever amount of archons at the location.
-Kill all units at that location.
-Preserve trigger.
-Go straight to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.

If you want to learn more by yourself, just screw around in a map editor and open up other maps and look at their triggers.

also, if you want to 'beautify' the effect, Mobile Grids might help : )

He probably was meaning to add a text message to it, which can be changed by you.

lol, you fixed it? nice touch up.. the first article was word vomit XD. i found enough consistency (atleast, what little there was) to be able to understand it, but much better 2nd edition.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
