Could this be... FORESHADOWING?!

So who's making "OMFG THE BANELINGS!!!"

Also, why are the minerals gold in that preview movie? Keep in mind I'm not up to date with my SCII stuff :P

Thats an understatement. We've known about banelings and gold minerals since June/July of last year. Gold minerals = higher yield.

It will quite possibly be a new spell, science vessel ;D?

According to those new screenshots and clips, the graphics have significantly improved. ^^

I mean, come on. Look at the Terran and the Banelings.

I just read this after trying to re-download patch 1.15.2 to get the tutorial to use it without mah disk.

Honestly, they need to put updates that were there when they made the unit, not months later

Let me show you how to hump without making love.

They just want to make sure that they are adding it to the build before they put it up there.

Sweet Jesus, you're right. That sexiness is totally replacing the Viking picture (almost called them Goliaths :P) as my desktop background.

Wait, this one: http://starcraft2.com/images/screenshots/ss85-hires.jpg

I'd say that's a building under it, that looks remarkably like an obese, clawless ultralisk. New ultralisk den design, perhaps?

Also, I just noticed that the hatchery looks more like a hatchery and less like a tent now! :}

He meant all the way on the left, where it looks like it's vomiting out a bunch of purple ooze.

Oh, that's probably it's new creep ability.

May 25 2008, 3:24 pm grAffe Post #15

Ooh, so technically, Overlords can attack using their creep. It's indirect, but it's still damage, nonetheless.
To me, it seems like every race has been uber-upped. As long as the relative change between races remains constant, then I'm fine though.

hey wait, Dont zerg units regen faster when their on creep?...

None.

May 28 2008, 9:20 am Daedalus Post #17

I think they do, or will in SC2. Undead units in WC3 regenerated either only or faster on undead ground, so I wouldn't be surprised if they used that in SC2 as well.

Which can only lead to this formula.

Baneling + Creep = Epic Defence.
Moving Sunks + Baneling + Rush = Ownage.

They're supposed to be better minerals (more ammount, faster mining or something like that.)

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[2026-7-16. : 6:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
