Is it just me, or do the avatars seem to change color when you move the screen or your head?

None.

I don't see any difference...

I've really noticed it with the lighter colored ones, when they are alone on the side, the way I posted all of them together makes it not work :/

WOAH! Cool, they do! At least I think so, but then again, I'm weird...

No. Those are optical iliusions. No changes. Try refreshing the page. You will see that they change.

I think it's just because of how fuzzy they are. =P
Are you using an LCD or a CRT monitor, or what?

Only the second one changes, it only changes right after the refresh, and it's supposed to do that.

The second one is a gif

If you have fast internet it is easier to notice, so the gif doesn't play as it loads it plays all at once. Try saving the pic and then looking at it?

Sep 16 2007, 12:32 pm Falkoner Post #18

Lol, I found out that it IS the second one:

It's actually a GIF that changes colors for a second at first, then stays, for proof, save the image on your comp and open it up, it will change.

I am so lost as to why it's an optical illusion even if only one of them works, it's SUPPOSED to do that... what am I not supposed to be seeing that you ARE seeing?

None.

Sep 16 2007, 2:13 pm Falkoner Post #20

I thought it was an optical illusion, but it's actually an animated GIF

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.
[2026-7-15. : 4:10 am]
Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

Symmetry -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
