Doing my best to revive this place. Long live the StarCraft community!

Hello guys and gals, my name is Kyberilum and today I will explain how to make cool TALL buildings on ANY tileset!
For the purpose of this guide, I will be using the Indexed Pallete of SCMDraft 2, so make sure to install it from here.
Technically, something like this was already made by Inferno (check topic description), but this is a bit different.

So, let us begin!

PART 1: Picking a tileset
Start by picking a tileset you will be working with. Technically, any of them will work; but the ones with Terran infrastructure (like Space or Badlands, for example) are best for this. I will start with Space.

PART 2: Starting from the top
Just like in Inferno's guide, start from the roof:

Then, switch from Isometrical to Tileset Indexed brush.

PART 3: Walls
This is THE tutorial - you won't find direct guidelines to follow; I will only teach you the ways of coming up with ideas yourself. You should start from deciding, will the player be able to access this tower with ground units, or not.
In the first case, you will have to limit yourself with a small range of tiles, all of which must be impassable (not walkable). For example, level limiters (tiles inbetween two hight levels/floors):

In the second case (player can't reach the towers), you have FULL artistic freedom and can express yourself in the wildest towers ever made with classic StarCraft. Now you can use walkable tiles for walls, like bridges:

Now that we know our constraints, let's try picking the best tiles for walls.
Ideally, it should be something with a visible isometrical line - like, for example, the lines of the bridge on Space tileset:

Now, select those tiles in Tileset Indexed window:

And now, start drawing:

You can make a tower however big you want!

PART 4: First Floor

Now, pick how you want the tower to look like on the first floor - it can be isometrical or indexed construction!

AND you're basically done. However, this is far from perfect! You can add doodads:

...and also more complicated landscape BEHIND the tower (it's akshually an illusion :P ):

You can also use different tilesets:

And a lot more!
This guide was inspired by awesome work of lil-inferno and Flemy in SEN Discord!
Sincerely yours, Kyberilum
