Greetings everyone, today I want to show you interview with DK aka DaMnUFo0
His story includes 4 campaigns & 59 missions. It impressed me a long time ago and I decided to ask a few questions from the author, but then the questions became systematic and it all became one big interview. In 2.5 years of work I have asked over 500 questions about campaigns.
Warning! If you don't want to see spoilers, don't watch these videos. If you don't care about spoilers, enjoy watching.
Greetings, Cahek. I have only played Impending Doom a while ago. Didn't know that the stories of DK's campaigns shared characters. Playing Impending Doom was interesting for me because I haven't played too much custom campaigns with non-standard micro. But boss fights seem rather common in non conventional custom campaigns. I noticed some mistakes on triggers, though. I made a review of the campaign some weeks ago.
I'm the creator of StarCraft Adventures. For Spanish version "Aventuras de StarCraft": Aventuras de StarCraft (blog)
I would like to translate this campaign, but it is quite long. I remember once hearing DK say something about making arrangements, I don't know if he did.

I translated these campaigns a very long time, especially KCS.
You should not use pr0nogo's campaign list for files to the DamnUFo0 campaigns. The files there are outdated and a few have some have gamebreaking bugs that DamnUFo0 fixed years ago.
Here's a link to my remaster which is available on my campaign list and which has been approved by DamnUfo0 himself. https://mega.nz/folder/hc0wgIAD#QvChlCPddl810tvTThjh7g The readme in there features a link to the original (and most up to date) files on DamnUFo0's dropbox account in case you prefer the original instead.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.
Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
