Does anybody know the EUD to detect a unit's health for every player?

None.

it changes between patches apparently so there isn't much point to using it

EUDs allow you to access the memory of starcraft in really wierd ways. Some people have been able to detect your screen position for example. Basically it requires in depth knowledge of how SC works as well as a few programs and a ton of time testing. Then every patch you gotta redo it.

As you can see from what the responses have been, we don't know. EUDs change with every patch and were supposably wiped out for the most part. And as you have proly heard, conditions still work. If you want to try and find the EUD, by all means, do so! :D

Ask modders, they know stuff like this better than most mappers do.

Its outdated, so the mem adresses have changed.

Use ArtMoney to find the current mem address.

This detects health for 6 specific units for player one. I tried it and it worked.

That was a waste of time then...

It wasn't a waste of time because

1. stickynote now knows not to use EUDs in this case;

2. everybody who reads this thread can find out more about EUDs.

I thought most of the EUDs got taken out in one of the patches... I must be missing something here

EUD actions were disabled, conditions are still functional. Mac EUD's work as-well. If you need some Mac EUD conditions let me know.

Can anyone make a list of all of the conditions that can be used for EUDs? I think having one of those around would be handy...

Mar 3 2008, 3:27 am Test Post #19

I made one for mac... but there wasn't really anybody interested in it. Nai wants the list for the new editor, so I'll make it again.

lol. Unit IDs 233-65535 and all 256 players (all 256 in the last case, otherwise it is better to do 1-12.) There is all of them. But what do they all do? Who knows. xP

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
