There was discussion of using EUP's to produce uncloaked DT's in a previous thread, http://www.staredit.net/topic/16545/1/

I'd really like to add uncloaked DT's to a few maps of mine.

I never was able to figure out the advanced EUP methods to add large data values to the death table, can one of the cool cats who knows about them figure this out? or tell me not to hold my breath?

Cartography Artisan

I think I tried earlier but the subtract 1 op wasn't working there, only the byte set... so this wouldn't work without finding new overflows or using executable code (don't hold your breath)

I think the only reliable method is turning on shared vision. You can do the vision update trick to never actually reveal fog of war, but if you do that, some of the DTs will blink out of existence every 300 frames.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
