I'm talking about fun Bunker Wars, Diplomacy or Civilization based maps. I like RPG maps too, I just don't know enough about triggers to make them. I don't know about triggers in general, TBH. Anyone interested in organizing a small team of people to put some good maps out there? (Similar to 7ED's team)?

Let me know.

So you want to get people to make maps with you, but you don't know how to trigger? Start here. Then just play around with StarEdit and make little concept maps, figure out how stuff works. It's better to have a bit of experience before starting a team. :P

LOL, I'm an idea man. Not a do man, bro man.
Thanks for the tutorial though, I'll definitely read it while I'm here @work.

That describes 99% of the mapping population. ;P
And anyways, learning the trigger system allows one to know what is possible, and what isn't. It also makes forming a group reasonable ( as people generally prefer to follow others who have some level of skill ) ; although, group projects generally die, anyways.

This tutorial specifically will be of help. It's long, but it has EVERYTHING a starter needs to know about triggers.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
