Level 15 is too hard. Level 10 is also too hard. The thing they have in common is the super slimes - they just have way too many HP, and they can instantly 'convert' one of your trees even when it has huge HP left. I think a better way to handle this mechanic is that if a tree has been attacked by a slime in the last x seconds, when it dies it will become corrupted. As it is, it's basically just the luck of the draw whether they'll destroy your 'defensive' trees in the first couple of attacks or not. I think slimes have way too many HP. I only managed to beat level 10 by restarting it multiple times and eventually got a time when only 3 of the slimes attacked at the start, instead of all 5 of them. Level 11 was a cakewalk in comparison, although eventually the enemy started building wizards and a long range tower - possibly in response to my fairies? Is was too late for them, though.

Similarly level 15 is way too hard because you don't get enough resources and too many wizards start attacking you too soon: the 2 slimes with their mega HP don't help either. I suspect if the slimes weren't there, this would go from 'unbeatable' to 'very difficult'. So far my strategy has been to sell the 'offensive' trees and replace the bottom 2 with 'defensive' trees because owls are just crap and aren't worth the resources spent.

Fairies are way too powerful. They're too strong for their rate of production: they do too much damage and seem to have a lot more HP than their bar would imply. They might also have too fast a firing rate. Usually after you build 2 fairy wells you can just sit back and wait for them to steamroll over the monsters.

Also do the clouds flying past actually do anything? You should rename "resources" to "sunlight".

Level 18 is very frustrating because your 'defense' trees will attack the boulders before they attack the enemies.

1. Editor crashes when trying to load a saved level: Assertion failed! Program: ... File:.\Graphics.c Line: 37 Expression: image != NULL
2. When saving a map with the editor, you must manually add .afs to the end of the filename or it won't save the map.
3. When playing a map from the editor, if you click Restart in the pause menu the game crashes.
4. When you click Play in the editor, it asks you to select a map file but the dialog button says "save" instead of "open".
5. Making a map that is 16X x 8Y is weird because when you go to play it, there's an extra 3 columns of mountains on the left and right edges of the map.

Clicking "Restart" on any level crashes the game for me. Then again I've had the game just randomly crash mid-level, too, so it may just be my system.

Updated! Fixed the restart crash, the load map crash, added a new feature to see the current tile selection coordinates in the map editor (very useful for making CA scripts), and attempted to fix a unit spawning bug! Thanks for the feedback you all <3

It does save it, just without the extension. If you do *.* you'll see it.

I made a custom map! You play against a simple AI that builds up strength over time and then starts spawning giant slimes one at a time until you defeat both castles :)

Maps created with the new map editor don't have any AI for the enemy. I only tried it a couple of times (and then only briefly) with the older version, but the enemy seemed to build stuff there.

Yeah, I keep trying level 15 and it is ridiculously impossible. Thanks to the overpowered super slimes, half my trees get corrupted before I can even do anything. I don't think the "slim chance of corruption" (or however it is worded) is that slim. It looks like each attacked tree gets corrupted within three hits, and I never come close to killing one before three hits are made.

I've killed slimes without having any corruption, in level 10. The chance to corrupt is quite high though. Like I said earlier, the better way to handle this is to corrupt them when the tree is actually killed; at the moment being able to turn a high HP tree to nothing in a few hits is pretty unfair.

When the AI works properly on edited maps, I intend to make new versions of lvl 15 and 18 that are beatable.

They aren't supposed to have the AI. You can make your own with CA.

Level 15 isn't going to be changed for now. I didn't make the level, and yes I agree it sucks.

Well it seemed to have an AI in the last version when I played them, but doesn't in this one. That would be degradation.

Also making maps without any default AI is pretty pointless.

Challenge accepted.

EDIT: By selling what is about to die and a few trees early on, I nearly won. Until I wasn't able to replenish my forces fast enough to defeat the last handful of enemies that wiped everything out. I doubt I can do better than I just did, but it is worth a shot looking into that aspect.
