I need to use the flag beacons in my map as I've ran out of normal beacons. From memory though, a flag seems to appear at the beacon after a duration of time. Is there any way to prevent this?

None.

I'm not sure if there's any way to stop the flag appearing. the "Place COP" thing where you can place a flag beacon anywhere on the map when it is owned by a human player can be disabled, though.

If disabling it as in that page doesn't prevent the flags, then I guess you'll need a trigger that checks for a flag, and when found, removes it.

Yeah I remember having to use a Remove Flag trigger :/
Try Lanth's method first

Okay well it's not ideal, but I will have to just use a 'remove' trigger. Thanks for help.

Zoan -- of course it isn't full understanding. You could ask "is the mechanism by which this counterexample blows up the ONLY mechanism possible for an initial configuration to blow up?"

Constructing a counterexample is answering the question: "Is Navier Stokes well posed?" in the negative
