I tried saving it and it said it couldn't copy some sort of file into it and was unable to save. Now I can't open the map anymore. Any way to recover this?

I wasn't trying to copy anything into it. I was just trying to save, and it said it couldn't copy some file that I don't remember what it was called.

Did you have the map open in StarCraft (i.e. playing the game)? Editors cannot open/save maps that are currently being read by other applications.

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.
