Non-decaying effects

Not sure if my use of the term "decaying" is correct. What I mean is that some sprite effects (eg. The nuke's flashing red dot) can be placed in the editor, and they will constantly play throughout the game.

Others, like ensnare for example, will play once at the start of the map, and then stop.

So could y'all help me out with a list of sprite effects that don't decay? Thanks!

Most effects that are "moving" / change shape are only played once.
Anything that is just flashing (e.g. beacon glow, red nuke dot) is always playing as it's done through palette cycling. Same for pylon aura because it's not animated.
Afaik corsair web and defiler dark swarm aren't decaying.

Sry I wouldn't know of a complete list.

Test them out. It's simple to make a test map with all the non-crashing sprites, and would certainly take less than the hour that it took for me to get to this.

Yeah the main problem with testing it out myself is because of the constant crashing. Couldn't find a list of non-crashing sprites.

We do a little trolling

Try running a hack that has anti-crash and testing. I don't think any of the sprites that crash have interesting graphics anyway.

That only lists disabled unit sprite effects, not whether or not sprites will remain.

One of the editors had a list of which pure sprites crashed ... But I can't find it. :\
