Is EUD enabler just a little program? Do you have to run it and make it log into bnet? If it's not combersome at all, like if it's just a program u open and don't do anything in, then I might use it.
You run it, and if SC is not running, it starts up SC with EUD actions enabled. If SC is running, it enables EUD actions for the program. So yeah, you basically run it and are good to go.

The best thing would be to make EUD enabler a standard over battle.net. It would be a reason to play Starcraft 1 over Starcraft 2.

If there was a way to transfer local variables to global variables, it would be amazing.

you can, but you can't detect local variables. Unless you're talking about sc2, which I know nothing about.
