Shouldn't the mafia have won by now? If town players and mafia are equal (4 town to 4 mafia), the mafia can force a No Lynch (or put all their votes on another candidate to tie or win the lynch). Then the game would progress into night, thus giving the mafia another kill and winning the game. On EpicMafia it would be mafia victory in this situation.
Win by luck, lose by skill.

It counts their votes, rather than their members. It's perfectly reasonable to expect the Mafia to band together to take the Town down on the last vote. If one of the Mafia is AFK then they won't count toward the total.
