If the 255 -> 8 needs more correlation, computers run off of binary notation. Very early computers could only use up to 8 digits of binary, aka, 8-bit. Each bit can be represented as either 0 or 1. If it's 1, that means that specific bit is "on", so to speak, and each digit of a 8 bit number corresponds to increasing amounts of a number in base 2 notation, so 10001000 (in computer language) corresponds to 136 in our decimal system. As such, the maximum number you can create from an 8-bit number is 255, which corresponds to 11111111.

Maybe these are clues to the other mafia that either didn't do any action or whatever last night. Droplets may mean TiKels, but meh, no idea. My thought on the pebble was Pebbles, from HoN, of which Taylor Swift was a very good player. Both of these are highly unlikely interpretations, however. Also, if my assumption on the additional clues are right, then there should be another possible interpretation somewhere.
