Ah you're right.

Edit: Also, it appears I was wrong about the walk-in closet not needing a movement action to enter.

Magic box god; Suck it Corbo

ugh get back there and turn the lights back on, and it would have been easy for aristo to just move once per turn and there would be no discrepancies.

Also Aristo, according to your map, the 1st floor has 2 unknown rooms on the bottom. But from in front of the master bedroom window the house does not extend any further out, apparently.

Does this mean there the yard area out front is 2 spaces thick?

Again rooms are probably not square. There is a closed door to the east of the foyer, that much I'm sure of.

You needn't worry. The corpses won't be here for long. :cecil:

You're gonna torch the house or something?

No. It was a reference to the macabre comments that I often slip into posts I write in the Welcome forum, such comments often featuring references to evil and cannibalism.

Can we get an update on where everybody is?

I found a secure method to lynch people. The Freezer Control Room lets me "adjust the temperature. It can be reduced to a point that's much more bearable, or increased to a point that couldn't be endured for very long. The temperature change is rather fast, the cooling mechanism being quite powerful."

So I just adjust the temperature to very low, and you guys can throw people who need to be lynched into the freezer.

I'm in the foyer right now. I haven't seen anyone (other than the afkers) since I made the torch.

Oh, would you mind exploring those unidentified rooms instead then?

I should also point out (I think I did, a few turns ago?) that I saw someone pass by going "west" from my window.

If you're at the front of the house, it might have been me.

You look at your inventory. You are currently carrying a sharp piece of wood and a lawn dart in one hand. In the other, you have a few pieces of paper, including the IDs and the picture of a flower. You remember that you examined the bloody clothing in the bedroom, but didn't take it with you.

You move to the west, where a single light bulb is dimly illuminating the room. There are a few cardboard boxes lying around, an old rocking chair in the corner, and what appears to be an antique wooden wagon wheel leaning up against the wall. A wooden door is to the south, closed.

Okay... here is my inventory... might want to place the bloody rags item in the room...

I thought that's why I went this way in the first place.

That was me, I'm going downstairs to make a torch.

Win by luck, lose by skill.

Alright, I need at least 1 person we can all completely trust to not be the killer. How should I go about figuring this?

Roy is a good choice, I would be too but I was about to go on a killing spree before I got zoned out after I found out I was a hobo...

I found it funny how no one really paid attention to this. Also, Ray you mind making me one?

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
