Hello everybody I recently started playing StarCraft: BroodWar again after about 2 years of quitting. During which I started to code other games and such but that's not the point, the point is there are absolutely NO NEW MAPS!! I for one like new maps being a beta tester for Maps various people make and stuff but since I quit and started playing I noticed all the maps that are being hosted now a days are the exact same or just very close variations... So I was looking for a new Cat and Mouse out there and found about 3 new Cat and Mouse Maps! They were FANTASTIC! but as I stated before just variations, so I started to make maps I have some pretty basic ideas when it comes to a CnM Map but I would like other peoples output on things such as; What do you think normal Cat n Mice games are missing, any units you would like to see used in a new Cat n Mouse game?, And all that kinda stuff to help me improve my Cat n Mouse when I'm done making Alpha I'll post it when I'm done Beta and so on and so forth! Thanks a Ton!

There are two types of CnM players: "purists" who think that the very original CnM on iso terrain was the best, and "modernists" who believe that the awesomeness of a map varies directly with the number of bloated features it has.

All I can say is: you can't please everyone. Do whatever you think is good.

Hey Pink-Rine,
I was a Cat n Mouse maker! I can help you with anything you want, just PM me and if we both are online you tell me and we go in b.net, and I can show you my CnM maps... people loves them, but I'm not making any more CnM for SC1 because I bought SC2 and I'm learning how to use the editor. Anyway, I still remember everything from SC1 mapmaking so feel free to ask me any questions :D
See ya

I think a perfect balance between what Aristocrat described as "Purist" and "Modernist" would be best.

But no fucking square terrains... they suck.

Zoan -- of course it isn't full understanding. You could ask "is the mechanism by which this counterexample blows up the ONLY mechanism possible for an initial configuration to blow up?"
[05:48 pm]
Zoan -- ppl do it all the time in PDEs
[05:47 pm]
Zoan -- Heinermann
Heinermann shouted: it also didn't solve that problem but hey as long as the investors are pleased
Constructing a counterexample is answering the question: "Is Navier Stokes well posed?" in the negative
[05:44 pm]
NudeRaider -- I only heard about it, didn't any news article, so what did it do then?
[05:43 pm]
Heinermann -- it also didn't solve that problem but hey as long as the investors are pleased
[05:39 pm]
NudeRaider -- I have no idea tbh. All I know no human was ever able to solve it, but there's at least a few that beat portal ;)
[05:32 pm]
Zoan -- Navier Stokes is not that esoteric I thought
[04:32 pm]
NudeRaider -- Zoan
Zoan shouted: I find it kind of sad that on the same day it was announced AI solved Navier Stokes, it was also announced AI beat Portal, and there's a good deal of people who don't know which is more impressive
you find it sad not everyone is a math nerd?
[03:25 pm]
NudeRaider -- (and yes, I capitalized that correctly :ego:)
[03:24 pm]
NudeRaider -- Symmetry
Symmetry shouted: Hi not I'm dad
Hi dad, I'm nude
