Magic box god; Suck it Corbo

So, where's my Flamethrower?

EDIT: Also I didn't anticipate swinging my pot at Roy either but at least that swing wasn't an attempt to kill him, it was merely an attempt to KO intruders while we were vulnerable.

Its hard to knock someone unconcious with a knife, its is however easy to kill them with it... the pm could of easily been faked

Yes, of course, I would fake a 11k character PM to hide the clear fact that I am killer.

Where is Nasus? Is he actually unconscious due to the cart?

Easy to kill with? You're watching too much TV. Most injuries you can inflict with a knife are not life threatening.

Aug 12 2010, 1:20 am EzTerix Post #486

I also like how the PM detailed killing, stabbing, and throwing a knife at me. If I died instead of Tristana there still would have been a death with blood on your hands Aristocrat. There was no error. You can't wiggle your way out of murder.

Also would like to point out that you, in fact, are a killer.

Aristo, the fact is, you tried to kill Ez without proof that he was the murderer, thus compromising any proof that we could've gotten by tainting the knife. Even if you're not the murderer, your actions are certainly misinformed.

I shall repeat my proposal: detain and restrain Ez and Aristo, and keep a three- to four-man guard on them. Everyone else, form up into squads of no less than three members. I do have something I need to look into, so I can't guard. I'll PM people that I think I can trust, in the order that I trust them; I need two players to accompany me.

Well before you detain Aristocrat make sure you get that knife. He's probably gonna take it and start slicing anyone who tries to restrain him.

Do keep in mind that I thought this through. The fingerprint process Azrael explained was:

-Use all 3 actions to compare the prints with the hand of another player.
-Neither player may move.
-20% chance to clear if innocent, 80% inconclusive. Cannot reroll.
-100% inconclusive if it is the killer.

The cost is far too high for such little returns (used on 5 innocents, expected value is to clear one person, and 32.768% chance we don't clear ANYONE in those 5.) Since you essentially can't defend yourself, fingerprint examination leaves you open and in danger as well.

Additionally, Ez was high in my list of suspects. It would have resulted in a victory if my actions had proven to be fruitful.

The knife is probably sitting in a pool of blood with all the finger prints being swept away. Also not sure how killing me would result in a "victory". Sounds like your just picking people who have done something useful and trying to kill them. I already know you want what I took from the owners body. Your not getting it if I'm dead or alive.

Ez, Aristocrat has a point. The chances of clearing people with the knife are low, so we would only clear a handful of people... who would immediately become targets. If proven innocents outnumber unconfirmeds, then the innocents are safe, but if proven innocents are a minority, then they are a list of targets; the murderer can kill them to advance his progress without narrowing the pool of suspects and putting himself at risk. By using the knife instead of preserving the prints, Aristo may in fact have saved innocent lives, albeit at the tragic expense of Tristana's and the risk of yours.

Oh yes, real useful action you did there, not telling any of us what you actually took and thus contributing nothing to our knowledge pool.

I'd also like to apologize to Nasus for hurling a metal food cart at his face. It's really unfortunate you've been knocked out by the food cart....a second time.

sorriez :-(

Lol the irony! I think that food carts got a grudge you Nasus
You know, I was going to correct you for misusing the word irony, but after thinking about the situation, it's the perfect word. The action that caused Aristocrat to suspect EzTerix in the first place was when EzTerix threw the cart into another room, which ended up knocking out Nasus. Now, on the return side, Aristocrat has performed that same action in the act of eliminating EzTerix... Irony, indeed.

Eh, that's being generous. He stated "in the order that I trust them," implying that it was the only consideration. It's a nice thought, though.

Please only knock people out from now on, Aristocrat. You can stab their motionless body afterward. That should make it safer for everyone, no?

Symmetry -- Man I wish we had this tech back in the day when people played ums lmao
[2026-7-16. : 6:28 am]
NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[2026-7-16. : 6:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.
[2026-7-15. : 4:10 am]
Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
