If these exchanges of information don't happen in the thread, they will happen via PM. I'm sure there are such exchanges going on via PM despite the fact the thread is available anyways. At least this way most of them are public, which is how it should be.

Keep in mind that anyone can say anything about anyone at any time, including the killer. This doesn't even take into account if the killer conceals their identity or presence in the room somehow, they have even more of an advantage.

Well, it could be that. Or you could be the murderer, hiding in a room and lying in wait. :P Why not just ask Azrael to verify your location, perhaps using a "try to remember where I am in relation to the original murder" action?

 yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.
