First Map on SC2

After about 5 hours of reading tutorials I decided to put my semi-new found knowledge to the test and make a showcase map to fool around on. Here are the results (link to map at bottom):

Picture of the top left of the map (yes I know the map itself is quite small).

I kinda tried to utilize a tide trigger with the water levels but it didn't seem to want to work. However I still like how the little "holes" in the top right portion sort of fill in and out (would have been cooler with the trigger i think).

I played with lighting a bit but it was a bit epileptic... slowing it down made it go even faster so I just left it out..

I know the waterfall could use A LOT of work. I figured out how to make a more decent one during the process of finishing the map but was too lazy to change it all (will have to wait for the next test map).

Anyway.. Enjoy (I hope).

Feedback is much appreciated as I'm still pretty clueless.

Im not claiming to be an expert but because I terrained in SC1 I had to disquise blocks without making it seem like I was hiding something, so all the trees on the hills and none on the right seem to not be one environment and state that you need to alot of doodads to make it look pretty.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
