Just downloaded and beat it with some friends. It's fun, but I'm worried about the replayability value if people don't start making maps real soon.

Is it just me or does this look just like Alien Breed: Impact that I bought a few weeks ago?
Or perhaps it looks like Alien Swarm, the Unreal Tournament mod.

Well it's free and they released an SDK with it so I'm sure they'll be plenty of custom crap popping up.

My computer crashed 11 times loading that game. I click to join/create a new game and the loading bar gets almost all the way to the end before Alien Swarm disappears and it's as if I never was playing it. Been trying this on several detail settings.

Master has given Dobby a doctorate! Dobby is free!

Olimar, for whatever reason I find that turning off the anti-aliasing is great for gameplay, and there's no significant difference.

I'm gonna give online play one more try before I uninstall.

The matchmaking, for whatever reason, finds a lobby roughly 20% of the time. The other 80% are games that have already started. The graphics aren't that great, but I play LoL so what do I care? Multiplayer is far too laggy and of the 3 games I managed to get into, all 3 of them disconnected the entire team. Single player is as boring as L4D2 single player is, but minus achievements. As far as I can tell, there's no storyline, like L4D2, but the gist of L4D2 is to get away from the zombies, whereas in AS it's to go into the aliens. It plays like L4D2, but in 3rd person, as far as the gameplay goes. I really don't see any reason to like it other than its free.

TL,DR; there's not much to see here, IMO.

This looks fun, if I could play with more of you guys though, it'd be awesome. The game is really laggy though, not sure why, doesn't seem too graphic intensive.

You finished insane yet you don't know how to do an incredibly simple function in the game? Think Gears of War, then you know.

You're just bad at the game. I like it.
No, I don't like the game. Simple as that. If I sucked at it, I wouldn't know because I never got to play even half of a game.

:payne:

I've beaten Sewer Junction at Insane under 3:45, and we were only 2 medics :awesome:
The guy managed to record the summary screen, but it's very laggy.
I'll wait for him to upload that shit. :)

Well, 3:45 is for newbs: we elaborated a strategy for 2 players to beat in 1:24 !
Check it out.

The simple yet effective strategy used is described into the Details box right under the video.

Sleeping wolves wake hungry.

I love this game.

Pistols and chainsaw ftw.

I don't get you guys saying that it's too heavy for hardware; I play it on max settings on my crappy computer with no lag at all. In any case, deactivate AA, it may help.

Also... I WANT TO PLAY WITH SOMEONE D:
Add me whoever is able to because I simply can't send friend requests: adeonc
