Does that mean Friday's map night is now gone? I was looking forward to that :><: .

None.

We should just have one on both nights, for people who have shit to do on either of the two busiest nights of the week.

Five minutes to map night! Get in op SEN now!

We should probably also establish these rules on map night:
-No Temple Siege/Heroes' Sanctuary/Banning Game/Alpha Marines/Desert Strike/other maps that are readily available on the Bnet UMS list or op SEN 24/7.
-Maps should have as many player slots as possible; hosting maps with 4 or fewer player slots makes it really exclusive and get people stuck in op SEN without a map to play.

Map night is best when UU doesn't show up. Gj.

Add a rule to not ban people "because ur noob" (*cough*Leeroy*cough*); when you host a new map, most people have never played the map before, so of course they will act noobish for a while before they figure it out. It's not fun when you run around banning everyone who isn't pro.

MAPNIGHT IS TOMORROW AT 4PM PST (7pm EST)
I hope you guys still remember :P

I'm pretty busy these days, but people still get together on both fridays and saturdays :D. I will also only host the bot "MapNight" on Saturdays, just so people are on the same page...

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[06:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

NudeRaider -- Symmetry
Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor
[02:28 am]
Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry -- Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
[08:51 pm]
NudeRaider -- Symmetry
Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.
[2026-7-15. : 4:10 am]
Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
[2026-7-15. : 2:19 am]
Symmetry -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
