Hello, my name is PunWisp.

I was a really good terrainer in Wc3, and was a pro with the Object editor, kinda crappy with the trigger editor :bleh:

I'm currently learning the ridiculous complexity of the Galaxy editor, enjoying the terraining part.

Welcome the Lord of Darkness, MASTER of Twinkies.

Hello, my name is Gantrithor, a user of StarCraft I.

I was meh at map-making in sc1, and wasn't a pro at anything. I was kind of crappy. :hurr:

I'm currently learning how to use the Galaxy Editor, and enjoying everything about it.

Welcome to SEN (you'll have to help me with the data editor :D

Ha... Im a super noob of it, its almost nothing like WEs object data... Making a single unit used to be very easy.. Copy & paste and edit stats, done in WE.

GE? Good god... Its very complex and a bit complicated/time consuming.

I made my first today. But it lacked a attack sound.

Well, from what I've heard, it's an easier transition from WC3 than from SC1... Alas, I've not the hardware needed to test that statement myself...

In any case, welcome to SEN. Feel free to contribute what you know to the forums and to the (new) wiki.

Dungeon Master

This is SEN; welcome to it.
Hopefully you will stay around despite the drama.
Expectations are high, considering your background. I hope you create some good content :)

Glad we are, that you are here. More members is always a good thing.
All members have the right to a welcome topic, and I'm also glad you've taken advantage of this.
My gut feeling is that you are a good member, who will be productive.
Eggsongs are not retarded, they are Godly. Remember this.

Welcome, PunWisp. :)

Not only do we embrace the eggsong, we also worship kiwis. Would you like a kiwi? I know you would...

We hope you will create loads of amazing content and spread the word of the kiwi.

I notice Christian Bale from the movie "American Psycho".

Drama? I don't mind it, I've been to plenty of drama myself xD.

Expect more terrain derived content then anything, and future projects. (I have one in mind, but considering I need to learnt he data editor, it will be a while.)

Kiwis and eggs? You guys HAVE been around Sc1 for too long.. Lol

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
