Alright so I'm pretty much done with a map that's about Cat n Mouse, except the teams are 3 mice, 1 cat, vs 3 mice and 1 cat. It's based off the common/popular Cat n Mouse Jungle, so people can pick it up and play right away.

I have a problem with some ideas though on how the Mice can help their team's Cat besides giving him minerals for upgrades. Any ideas for how Mice can support their Cat without direct combat?

Here's a suggestion: It'll be Team1 vs Team2. Here's how the game will work,
- On one side, it'll be Team1's Cat vs Team2's Cat.
- On the other side, it'll be Team2's Cat vs Team1's Cat
--- Which teams kill the all other team's mice or cat first wins.

For your question:
- Just place a location wherever you want the team's mice to set the trigger.
--- For Conditions, choose: "Bring" <--------------- Configure it yourself
--- For Triggers, choose: "Set Resources" <------ Configure it yourself

I already explained how the teams are set up, which is exactly what you suggested. And I didn't ask how to set minerals either :wtfage: . What I mean is what else can Mice do to help their Team Cat, besides giving minerals?

Give mice units that can lay traps, for example laser mines or stun locations, stuff like that. Maybe a weak attack kerri that can fire Ensnare to slow down the opposing cat.

Hm, traps would work well. Stun locations I can do/understand, but what did you mean by Laser Mines?

The Kerrigan sounds like something the mouse would buy(like SCVs or Zerglings), since the Opposing Cat is already on your arena.

Laser mines are a concept lil-Inferno came up with. Basically, you have a unit (a vulture would be easiest i guess) that can make a mine, and then consantly move cloaked wraiths over it and move away, so that they shoot anything that comes close like a laser. PM lil-Inferno for a map showing it off.

I think I understand, so something like this?

The current Team1 Mouse player who bought a Laser Trap gets a SCV in the Team2 Arena, the SCV can place one Turret and if a Mouse gets close it will spawn a cloaked wraith to attack but cant leave the turret?

EDIT: Never mind, I misread your post. Something mobile/homing like that would be pretty unfair since these Traps are aimed at Mice, not Cats. The stun location works as it doesn't kill the already 1 hit kill mouse but just disables them. So some stuff like that I guess.

The laser mine is stationary.

Well yes and no. The apm made him win the battle, but I'm not convinced a pro player can't account for that. He got caught with his pants down so it's not really representative of a prepared player. And the extra economy absolutely would've mattered if that push didn't almost immediately end the game.

they basically lost most of their army in one big battle and didn't have the time and production to leverage the economic advantage and come back from that blow.
