My personal question to you is how often do you guys wash your hair? The other day i was shocked to learn that normally people DON'T wash their hair everyday. It's actually like... what your supposed to do from what I hear. BUT thing is I hear that when they say they don't wash their hair that means that they don't use shampoo and only run water through their hair. I was thinking by not washing their hair that they used shower caps to get the natural oils still in there or something. I know their is or was a small club of SEN population that enjoyed to talk about how long and metal their hair is ( Farty :l ).

So whats the deal with hair?

I wash my hair everyday with shampoo and conditioning

I learned in health class, DON'T wash your hair everyday. It washes out the oils, so then you body makes more, which in turn causes oily hair and acne.

My hair always comes out more manageable when it has half a days worth of not being clean with its natural oils.

Like once every 5 days? (unless its a special occasion). It sounds crazy to wash everyday.

I don't was every day(with shampoo) I shower everyday. Shampoo every 2-3 days. I have no acne and very un oily hair.

I wash my hair every day. I rather I didn't because I'm always so tired in the morning, but if I take a shower and don't wash my hair, then it becomes really smelly and itchy and gross. My hair is basically impossible. You could put 3 lbs of gel in it and it still would not stand up.

Then can you just shower everyday, but use shampoo and all every other day?

I rinse the hair with some quality H20 everyday, but the shampoo only enters the equations once or twice a week. It's bad for your hair to use this kind of stuff too often.

I rinse my hair with a lab tested new substance dihydrogen monoxide every night, and chemically react it with shampoo every other night.
I then decrease the angle of the sulfide bonds in my hair with a water based gel, followed by combing.

I wash my hair with shampoo+conditioner shampoos every day. I have hair women would kill for, and a beard that makes many a man jealous (maybe only my brother who just can't grow a mustache). If I don't wash my hair one day, it gets oily and matted down. As long as my hair looks and feels good, I don't really care. I'm going to be bald anyway when I'm 50.

If you shampoo, you should follow it up with conditioner. Shampoo is what cleans the hair, by taking the dirt etc out (acts like detergent). Unfortunately in order to clean the hair, shampoo takes out some of the natural oils etc from the hair in the process. Conditioning after shampooing helps to replace those oils, and it is easy to feel the difference between shampooed and shampooed + conditioned hair.

How often you do the shampooing is up to you; I do it every day, but you may easily get away with less frequently.

I have very heavy, thick, fluffy and greasy hair. So I wash it every day to ensure it's the softest and nicest hair you could possibly put your fingers through.

I shower once every week. In a place without running water, that's extravagant.

I am probably the member that has the most oily-hair... After one day, they are ugly as hell.
Unfortunately, I've been said by hairdressers that washing them everyday will just make it worst.

This is what I look like when it's been 36 hours since my last shower.


It's less worse nowadays, but it is still very frustrating.
I use specialized shampoo and never use conditioner. I wish I had your hair, guys! =(

In conclusion, I wash my whole body every 2 days.

I wash my hair eventually.

Rub your hair with bulls' milk every two days.

Also, I wash my hair with shampoo & conditioner every two to four days. Shower once a day.

I can't believe those are the same two people in those pictures. I'd kill for your greasy hair, greasy hair is good if you have certain hairstyles that need that wet look. If my hair was like that I would actually let my hair grow past 2 inches, if that.

You must be crazy! O_O
It's not fun -at all- to have -such- greasy hair!
And I do not understand in what way I do not look the same in both pictures ;o
Show me a picture of someone that has oily-scalp which matches well with his haircut and I'll give you a cookie.
How long is 2 inches?
