I do not care about cleanliness, or a better way to put that would be I think people are way too fucking hung up about it. I take showers at the moment because I kinda enjoy them, but I'll go weeks wearing the same clothes and not showering without a problem.

When my hair was past my shoulders, I washed it only like once or twice a week, it was such a hassle. Now that I cut it all off about 3 weeks ago, I wash it probably 4-5's a week.

It requires so little effort ... I never understood why people are like "omg long hair r so haerd 2 wash"

I used to shower and shampoo every three days, like two years ago. Switched to every other day a year ago. Now I shower and shampoo daily. Don't know about the health of my hair, but I can safely say that my overall oiliness has decreased, as evidenced by significantly-reduced acne over that time period.

Right now, my (short-ish, maybe ~0.5") hair is greasy (especially compared to my semi-beard), but I'm not bothered by it. It's not like I'm rubbin' my hands through my hair all the time. Also, (and I don't know if grease has anything to do with this, but I don't want to ruin it) whenever I'm done showering, my hair always ends up forming these small, flat, spike-like textures... Love the way that looks. Every morning, my hair looks epic until it dries.

In light of the posts made here, I may introduce conditioner to my routine and see what it does.

... I'm gonna try out not shampooing every day.
