This is one of my first few attempts at melee mapping, so try to take it easy on me.

Possible Faults:
There might be tank holes in some spots.
Mains are too large.

T would own this map with a tank push; make more paths.

Giving one base 10 minerals and the other 9 isn't generally a good idea :P.

Nat really should be closer to the main and the main-nat choke needs to be made a lot smaller. (Mineral lines also should not face the middle unless you are going for the outsider approach).

You could replace some of those cliffs with water..
It' be more aesthetically pleasing...

It's definitly 10 and 10.

UnholyUrine)I was thinking that it looked a little bland.

Won't upload a new picture till I have new comments, fix that stuff, because it takes 5-20 min just to upload a picture with this computer.

I like the map.

I think the mineral formation for the top is a bit weird. I usually like having my minerals close together so I don't have to worry about where (which side) to place them to go mine and they can organize themselves on their own.

And I can't really tell, but the natural choke (the part with the minerals) seems a lot more cramped than the bottom one.

Remember, you don't ALWAYS have to follow the gas rule for every single base except the mains. Just do it when you can :). I just hate those gases (not talking about your map here) that are in the middle of your base, ugh. :flamer:

Constructive criticism:

Due to the small size of the map, and the combination of the bases being so large, and the bases hugging the sides of the map, it leaves a lot to be desired for higher level game play. To have such large bases hugging one side of the map on such a small map wastes a lot of space, and makes it more awkward for strategy, attacking, and just overall game play. If you like that setup for the bases, however, I suggest making the map a little bigger, although personally I'm not a big fan of this type of layout.

The natural shouldn't block the main path with minerals, so move them over to the side more. And as others have hinted at, make the map more open. It looks a bit cluttered right now, which a) makes the map look weird, and b) makes terran too strong.

The sword and the faith

Guys, the maker hasn't posted about this since March. The map is not salvageable, and you should just let it be please. v.v

Excalibur, I just talked to him about the map yesterday. I think he just chooses not to respond in the thread for whatever reason.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
