and by finished you mean all the ships will be in the game? replay value leaves quickly with just bc and wraith (i prefer bc because you only need to build 1 engine. gives you more money to make turrets ^_^)

Yup yup, all 11 ships will be in it, and the game will last for about three times as long, and there will be up to 5 players.. etc. The final version :-_-:

oh nice. just finished another round with the bc. i never quite managed to be able to fill my ship with all turrets. also just for fast reference could you add a number in the name that shows the max number of a specific building you can have with it still being useful?

If you build a Science Facility or two near the beginning, I think you should be able to fill out your ship with missile turrets (limit 10) and engineering bays by the end. Good idea with the number in the name, will do.

Actually, if your aggressive you can beat it without getting any system upgrades. All I did was get armor and attack upgrades and took out the first base fairly early. I was planning to get some new systems after the second base but then we won :D. I did invest in two small armors but that was it, we had no problem holding them back without systems... didn't even lose any of the overmind defendrs...which btw if there called defenders should maybe kill something every once in a while. There more like fodder at the moment.

Anyway, I am glad to hear that a more final version with more options is near done :-) :D !!

Interesting... well whatever works :)
And btw, don't make the cocoon feel bad, he's doing the best he can, it's just that cocoons make crappy defenders ^^
(maybe a little more effort could have been put into that name, will be better for the real thing)

try stacking invince sunken and spore colonies under the cocoons and then make a trigger to kill them off when the cocoon dies .

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
