How can we make hatcheries produce larvae faster than normal in a melee UMS game?

None.

There is no way to increase the larva production speed. You'll just have to use more hatcheries and get the larva from them.

more hatches, or eud actions (now patched).

When a hatchery spawns it makes a larva immediately. If you just create/remove/create/remove hatcheries you can generate lots of larva quickly.

Erm...

Add hyper triggers then do something like

CONDITIONS:
(Whatever you want)

ACTIONS:
Create 1 hatchery at X
Remove 1 hatchery at X
Create 1 hatchery at X
Remove 1 hatchery at X
Create 1 hatchery at X
Remove 1 hatchery at X
Create 1 hatchery at X
Remove 1 hatchery at X

In this case, it would create 4 larvae in, about, half a second.

That does not help with this: http://www.staredit.net/topic/9945/

P15 scarab speeds up everything in the game EXCEPT larvae production, and your method does not work here since the side effect is constantly healing hatcheries.

Create the hatcheries at a location outside your playing field for any player and move/give the larvae wherever they are needed.

You won't be able to click the hatchery in order to select them, but this is the best you can do.
