I thought the idea was interesting. Here's my attempt, but I gave up due being unable to figure out how to flawlessly handle multiple units coming down after dropping them without a computer per unit. As you'll see it screws up if you try it in the map.

I could just force only 1 unit coming down at a time but I think it hinders gameplay too much.

Oh yeah. Hold in space with your mouse over a unit to pick it up.

I order you to forgive yourself!

That was pretty good, even though I could kill them really fast by pressing space twice on the civilian. It follows the same idea as the real game.

Yes that was really good :) . I'll probably try to follow up on that method ( if I can ). Well if I think about it some more, hopefully I can come up with a fix for it. Although, I will admit I've never used mobile grids.

EDIT: Stuff like that is something I would never be able to create...If I do continue it, it would be awhile, due to lack of knowledge about what you made.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
