What it comes down to, is that I made a mistake, but I can't unmake it, so I'm going to roll with it the best I can.
To the medics: your abilities are guaranteed to work from now on. I have a good retrospective reason for why they didn't work on the first night.

Man, just roll with it. Because of the
unique nature of this zerg attack the usual methods a medic uses were ineffective is what it comes down to.
This night always had a unique nature, since I planned the game. It's just that I didn't plan to have medic ineffectiveness be part of the unique nature from the beginning. In retrospect it makes sense though.

Echo gurgles out "you don't understand..." and takes out some medical device, he sprays a bunch of stuff on himself in a feeble attempt to close his bullet wounds. This just causes
zany_001 to pump some more lead into those wounds.
