my game was glitching up. it was really weird, i couldnt use items that required to click on a target (such as potion or runes, or hellflower) and there was some graphics going wack but the cool thing was that i could see the other team when they were invisible. i was playing against an arachna who bought invisibility and i could see where arachna was when she was invisible, the problem was that i couldnt target her with my abilties

Weekend time! I actually have 5 days off.
It would be nice if someone bought a courier every game and also someone else bought wards for runes, as both help tremendously.
More and more, I almost never touch base. I could be mid and have 3k and not have boots yet but I won't waste the time going back to base, which kills efficiency.
Also Hydro is pretty good with buying wards first, and that helps a lot too. Even if they aren't rune whoring, getting the right rune means early ganks. It also protects against the other team doing the same.

If i play tree or someone plays scout we basically will have automatic wards...

And i hopefully will be playing this weekend as well. I will also have a ton of free time next week for my thanksgiving break.

Yep, I thought it was perfectly justified. I played with Angel again recently (on his team this time, and with him on an SSJ naruto alias so that I only recognized him by his voice), and he's more than calm most of the time. When he is playing a clan war with a ringer, however, as Stridah (the Lich) was, he is the leader/carry and needs to be obeyed immediately. They suffered because Stridah didn't listen and thus the "rage" was more than acceptable. Did they still win, sure, but that's not the point. The point is the Lich fucked up drastically and didn't obey an intelligent command that could have cost them a lot more than it did.

I won't speculate why Kangry left, nothing has been said about that that I've seen.


@ Shredder: Hatchet+Crow > Tree, he's not worth picking solely for that reason.

Faz, at least that puts the other team behind 500 gp, and can only take a tree down for every cd of the hatchet. Even with sight wards, they 1. cost money, and 2, can be killed by couriers in the same way, so they are worse than tree. Don't even try to say tree is worthless, just ask the rest of the SEN players.

its not like wards are that bad to buy. they are easy to use and cost efficient. usually when im at fountain and im buying money i have just enough money left over to buy some wards, so i just go warding and im not put back that much money.

Yeah but tree's wards are free...

I always buy wards/courier if I'm playing the support hero. I'm not going to buy them when I'm going to carry or jungle though.


I think we went a little overboard. The whole ward placement thing was justified, but the only thing Lich can do in team battles is throw his ult off and use armor, the Lich can't really control how well he'll do in team battle.

ok so i was looking at dota heroes and i was looking at nerubian weaver and for his ultimate, how does time jump back 5 seconds? like does the whole map rewind? so if there was this epic fight that took place in 3 seconds where all of the weaver's team died except him, then he ulted, they would all be alive again and would have another chance at the fight?

They take his MP, HP, position and cooldowns from 5 seconds before he casts his ultimate and then set it to those values stored. Only affects him.

That wasn't why he was bitching, he was bitching because Lich first fucked up the ward then didn't scout while they were Kongoring so they got initiated on from where the Lich was supposed to be. Definitely his fault. The rest is just icing, admittedly.

Panda is also worth mentioning in 1v1, but yeah generally Succubus+Puzzlebox wins. I do kind of like Lion with a blink dagger, though. I don't ever play 1v1 though, just what I've read. =p


@ Shredder: Tree is a walking ultimate and free wards. Hatchet+Crow can take out a Tree's ward every 15 seconds and you can't really do anything about it. 2 minutes of a crow flying around 15 minutes into the game and you have no more wards. Usually hatchets get abandoned midgame anyway, and any good team is going to have a crow to begin with, so it's not really any gold lost. Tree is very low tier despite his recent buffs and has major renovations coming. I personally hope they just make him into Rooftrellen, he seems like a way cooler hero with far more synergy. At the moment Tree is only good in pubs where people are too dumb or just don't bother to counter his map control.

Couriers can't take down sight wards, not sure what you're talking about there. They can't even counter-ward anymore, which costs equivalent gold anyway.

Man, I was a beastly Nerubian Weaver during my prime. I was like IP with Arachna on steroids and a lot more cockier (in a way that lent me to 3:1 stats as opposed to 5:1 or higher).

Whenever I play Slither, I should be able to provide us with a Flying Courier and Wards from the beginning of the game.

Was going to comment on this but FaZ wrapped it up nicely. What do you mean wards are taken out by couriers?..And yes, Tree is kinda of useless right now, at least in the competitive meta-game and against any decent player.

Couriers with a bound eyes, especially flying ones, or even without a bound eye, can run around the forest and such, looking for wards. And if the wards are in a hard to reach spot, the courier can give you vision to the ward to take it out if it's within the 200 (?) range that you need to be to see a ward.

What are you talking about? You need truesight to see wards, bound eye costs 600(?) still, so that's effectively 1000 gold to counter wards, and a courier cannot take out a ward by itself. And what do you mean it has to be in the 200 range to take it out? What are you talking about, you still need truesight in order to see the ward, still 600 gold lost. Also, a courier+gem is also usually banned in competitive play, and you effectively nullify their ability to ward for a little, compared to effectively nullifying one hero's entire skill.
