As researching for campaign AIs in SC I've read all of this http://classic.battle.net/scc/faq/aiscripts.shtml but there're still things that I'm not sure.

1. There is no explanation about the differences between easy, medium, difficult and insane levels. And why they have Campaign AIs and Insane AIs heads, while there are "Terran Campaign Insane" or "Zerg Campaign Insane" ? They're Insane AIs or Campaign AIs ? Or combination ?

2. In SCMDraft 2 there are AIs for the single player campaigns in Original and Broodwar (like "Brood Wars Protoss 1 - Town A etc.), but

Level-specific AI scripts. The campaign levels use AI scripts that are not included in retail StarEdit. We chose not to include these scripts because they were created with very specific assumptions about what units would be available, the placement of AI units and buildings, the layout of the map, coordination with triggers and other AI scripts, etc. As a result, these scripts are not flexible enough for use in anything but the exact mission for which they were created.
So those AIs work only on Blizzard's campaign maps ? Can I use them in my own maps ? If I use, will they perform exactly the behaviours I want ? For example, in campaign Zerg 6 Original, Protoss attacks with Reavers, Goons and Zeals. So will Protoss do the same in the maps use Zerg 6 AI ?

3. The 'Basic of UMS mapping" tutorial says
Quote
RUN AI SCRIPT: This is basically useless with just StarEdit. Ignore it.
That means this works in SCMDraft 2 ? What is the exactly differences between RUN AI SCRIPT and RUN AI SCRIPT AT LOCATION ? If AI scripts run at no location, what happen ?

Thanks everyone for replies...

None.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

1. check your StarEdit.hlp file in the StarCraft folder.
Basically every script with 'campaign' in the name is used in Blizzard's campaigns and the melee AIs without 'campaign' in the name are for self-made melee maps.

2.
a) No.
b) Yes.
c) They will do exactly what Blizzard needed for that campaign mission.
d) Just test that.

3.
a) Yes.
b) 'Run AI script' works with generic scripts that affect the whole player, 'Run AI script at location' works with scripts that require a location to run.
c) If you run a generic script like 'Set computer player to rescue passive' it will work the way you'd expect, if you run a location dependent script like 'Arbiter Recall' or 'Zerg campaign insane' it will be ignored.

Oh_Man -- tthen u come to SCBW and it's like - upload WAV, play WAV.... sigh why cant it be that easy

Oh_Man -- and no consistent easy to use way to then play the audio either

Oh_Man -- where they use third party audioprogram called WWISE which basically makes adding audio extremely difficult

Oh_Man -- i appreciate SCBW's ability to just let us upload and play WAVs so much compared to nightmare that is total war warhammer 3

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
