For some reason i cannot figure out why the hell none of the computers will mine minerals on this melee map lol..

ive tried stacked mins, unstacked, all types of stuff, yet the computer wont mine minerals even when on melee map or Top vs bottom..

anyone know a reason why they wont mine?

* most of the time they make a gas at the beginning and just continue to mine that, and once in a blue moon one of the comps will gather but they wont build, but thats still 6 other comps that arnt doing anything..

anyways let me know if any1 has a idea..

i find it sad on my part lol i can make ums no problem but cant figure out why a damn computer wont mine a mineral lolz

Woah

Can you post the map?

And this should be moved to UMS Help, even though it's a melee map you're making (I think?).

>be faceless void >mfw I have no face

Minerals must belong to player 12 (neutral) to be mined.

o and sorry about posting it in wrong place I havent sc'd in years, just got bored one day descided to remake a micro map the way i like it, and finished it but now i have the problem above..

I found out the terrian played alittle part, i changed some of the terrian and now they gather, but sometimes they still mess up and stop gahtering and just make a gas...

*EDIT* Problem fixed, was the retarted terrian, so just simplified it.

Thigh high affectionado

If this is a UMS map are you using the approriate AI to make the computer harvest? Else if its just a regular melee they should mine the closest minerals by default

Sure I didn't pop off on SCBW like I wanted to, but I won VRChat. Map maker for life.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
