Crap! SCM Draft 2 crashes in location mode!

In one of my maps, as soon as I go into location editing mode, it crashes with that damned "something bad happened' dialog box. If I do a blank map, I can get into location editing mode, but it crashes right after I've created a new location.

Hang on a sec! I know what's causing it! It's whenever I SEE a location. If I go to a spot on the map where it won't have to draw the locations, I'm good, but as soon as I scroll over to a location, it crashes.

Woah

Hmm I know of SCM Draft 2 crashing when you place Location 64, but nothing like this. Do you have the most recent version (as rockz err... suggested)? SI has been updating it a lot recently and perhaps you've just got a faulty old version.

could be very possible that you reached the string limit, as adding another location will add another string and if u have like 1200+ strings, something bad will happen :P

just a thought, check how many strings you've used. This has happened to me and this was my problem

I have the most recent version, no way am I near the string limit (not even in the 3 digits yet), aaannnndddd it works now... I think restarting the computer reset whatever was messing up. Thanks for the help anyways though!

EDIT: Oh but another problem I'm having is that the locations have no names. I mean I double click on the location, the box comes up, there's the name, but it doesn't display the location's name in the editor when not in the properties box.

Zoan -- of course it isn't full understanding. You could ask "is the mechanism by which this counterexample blows up the ONLY mechanism possible for an initial configuration to blow up?"
[05:48 pm]
Zoan -- ppl do it all the time in PDEs
[05:47 pm]
Zoan -- Heinermann
Heinermann shouted: it also didn't solve that problem but hey as long as the investors are pleased
Constructing a counterexample is answering the question: "Is Navier Stokes well posed?" in the negative
[05:44 pm]
NudeRaider -- I only heard about it, didn't any news article, so what did it do then?
[05:43 pm]
Heinermann -- it also didn't solve that problem but hey as long as the investors are pleased
[05:39 pm]
NudeRaider -- I have no idea tbh. All I know no human was ever able to solve it, but there's at least a few that beat portal ;)
[05:32 pm]
Zoan -- Navier Stokes is not that esoteric I thought
[04:32 pm]
NudeRaider -- Zoan
Zoan shouted: I find it kind of sad that on the same day it was announced AI solved Navier Stokes, it was also announced AI beat Portal, and there's a good deal of people who don't know which is more impressive
you find it sad not everyone is a math nerd?
[03:25 pm]
NudeRaider -- (and yes, I capitalized that correctly :ego:)

Symmetry shouted: Hi not I'm dad
