Whenever I start my map to test it, it crashes and for no apparent reason. In the editor I removed some units for all the players and then it worked. I would like to know the reason of why it was crashing though. I'm not totally sure why it does.

None.

They could have been placed off on the borders of the map or been units that crashed SC, who knows.

Post the error log or the fault address. We can't do anything for you if you just post "OH MY MAP CRASHES BUT I'M NOT TELLING YOU ANYTHING ABOUT IT, NOW HELP ME BITCHES".

You could at least tell me what an error log or fault address is or where I can find one. It seems if I delete all the units that are either stacked or copied...Possibly both. I only used units that work and still it crashes. Maybe too many units on the map would that crash it? Help me out here folks.

EDIT: Thanks Ultimo thats what I was looking for.

In your starcraft directory, there is an "Errors" folder.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
