.17 + .5 second after-cast animation = .67 seconds

But you have a .5 second cast animation for your stun too.

I won't be unless something dramatic happens in my life that changes my standpoint financially. It IS a good game, but it has its bugs right now, and I do have some complaints with balance here and there. Other then that, I'd continue playing after the beta if it were free, but I doubt I will be able to. Been fun though.

If possible, I'm hoping S2 might grant moderators a free copy for our continued service. But that's just wishful thinking.

In my opinion, anyone who needs a guide for something shouldn't be playing it. You should know what you're doing with it, or experiment and find what works for you, because you're you, not whoever wrote the guide.

I find using a guide can help get you in the right direction, you don't need to follow it down to the word. The game is confusing and there is a lot of items to be built, so using a guide can help narrow down what is useful and what is not. The users on HoN aren't exactly newb-friendly either.

Some players probably benefit from guides some don't. It really matters if you are a totally noob just starting or if you've played other maps before like this one. I never played DotA before, and when I first started playing HoN I lost my first ten games. I eventually got better without a guide, but guides can help a lot. Eventually, the only guide I read was a guide about what are good starter items. But Ultimo is right, the users on HoN aren't always noob-friendly.

Question: Why are runes better than health potions? and what is a TP scroll?

I'll assume you mean those runes of blight thing that requires a tree. I personally never used a health potion. The potion heals more but not that much more, it's only about 50 difference i think. The health potion heals for 400 hp over 10 seconds but it stops healing if you're hit and you usually use it when you're really low HP otherwise it would be a a waste.

With the runes of blight you can use it on a tree and it will heal 115 i think, and it doesn't dispel when you're hit. With this you can keep your hp in the green without getting too low.
Hope that was helpful and made sense to you!

how is there a 50 difference if one heals for 115 and one for 400..

do runes have multiple charges?

Aug 20 2009, 3:55 am Thuy Post #278

Oh yeah sorry i forgot to mention that the runes comes in 3s for 90 gold, and the potion costs 100gold
And the 50 was just an estimate. :D might be 60

Thank you Thuy, and I'm still wondering what a TP scroll is, for those who know.

It's the blue orb looking thingy, I forget what it's called. It's the most bottom right item on the same page as the potions. Orb of recall or something? Read the description.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.
