Map Sections

These are all of the sectors of a StarCraft map (sc/bw compatible version, at least). They seem to be each 4 characters except a few (possibly so it could be compared to a constant dword value instead of a string, which are slower to compare). If they are less then 4, an 0x20 char (space) is appeneded to the end of this. I assume these values are used as markers for the beginning/ending of a section of the map.
If anyone has information on the undocumented ones then please feel free to contribute.

VER - Always contains the dword 2, and then a following word with the value of 0x003B.
IVER - Same with VER , except the following word is 0x000A.
IVE2 - Same as VER, except the following word is 0x000B.
TILE - One tile takes up one word (16 bits). Therefore, there are 65356 possible tiles for every tileset. The size of this section is: ((sizemap ^ 2) * 2) bytes.
MASK - Seems to be a few hundred bytes of 0xFF.
TRIG - Posted partial format in previous topic
WAV - Stores WAV files, not sure of specific format as of yet.
STR S - Null Terminated table of strings. Any unused string slots are filled with 0x0208 (some kind of filler, the pattern of 08 02's are null terminated as well). Strings start at the bottom of the section and work their way to the top.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
