one idea for this that i thought about was having hero spawns, where you get, say, a muta, and fly it over one of your buildings. then when you guardian aspect it or such, it spawns a hero from that building for the rest of the game as opposed to the regular unit. That way you still have a lot of buildings available to you, and you have more chance for different strategies.

Gambit man, I'm really liking the ideas and shit behind Night Strike... Few bugs I'm aware of but as a huge fan of the sand castle games and desert strike games, I think Night Strike could be the best one.

My plans not realized now (had no time and have a lof of TODO and lag fixing im my new map) so if you want grenades example now - I can cut my map and leave only grenade triggers and show you this example.

How about putting a MAX to the amount of units one person can make per turn? Essentially putting a max to the amount of buildings that can be built? That way you can change the type of units according to what units your opponent has. This is more strategic. Of course, you would have to destroy the buildings that you built.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.
