Here's a test video I did to show you how it'd look. I've been doing a lot of LPing as of late and want to try something new and SC related.

Basically want I want to try doing is this friday at like 7pm EST, we'll all meet up. What map we do depends on how many people I recruit. I'm hoping for 4, we could do like 6 and play an impossible scenario map or something. Generally it's UMS only, and gamewise viewers would only see things from my perspective (it'd be weird and complex to have it any other way). If enough of the SC community enjoys this I can easily turn it into a weekly thing.

How it's going to work is that all of us have microphones and connect to ventrilo. It's essentially a video of us playing some map, reviewing it, talking about it, having fun, etc. Here's the basic requirements

- To be able to get online at friday at 7pm.
- Your mic has to be working and have semi-decent quality. This means, make sure you're not breathing into your mic, and I shouldn't hear all static. You should also have the know-how to calibrate your mic if necessary, but most volume related items I can do on my end.
- Don't be a jerk, interrupting people all the time and whatever. If someone else is talking, let them finish. It may become chaotic with 6 people, I don't know, we'll have to see. Try not cussing either.
- Preferably, say something occasionally, like your opinions. If you don't like talking that much or have nothing interesting to say, that's okay, just try to break award silences then :)

If you want to participate, PM me or aim: latovasoftware
I'll set you up and stuff.

Sounds cool. That means I'll have to go find a new mic maybe haha. I've always liked watching the "Let's Play" segments on YouTube.

I'll do it.

Let's see what we can conjure up. :P

Although, I've noticed how my Mic tends to lower my voice a lot. I've never actually looked into calibrating that, or if it was even possible. Halp?

You got another app running that automatically adjusts the mic volume? check the levels in your volume settings to see if they move around while you record stuff.

Also check to make sure its not you moving away from the mic or something ;)

I might be down for this. My mic sometimes has issues but it's been acting better lately. Is this going to be USWest or USEast? East I'm assuming?

East, although I'm gonna move it to next week, I'm a little busy this friday unfortunately.

Just here for the activity... well not really

Hay Yoshi, how do you record your sound? (with a mic obviously, but what programs?)

I talk while I play. It's just a part of the video.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
