If a player leaves...

When a player leaves, all his units become neutral. So is there a way of detecting/removing/giving-to-a-computer-player those neutral units?

I'm asking because in Mechwarrior RPG, if a player leaves, his rigs it so players can't pick the same mech he's picked (because of the safe-guard I put in so no two players can have the same mech at the same time).

P12 is the neutral player.

We do a little trolling

Just always give all p12 units (unless you use p12 units for something else) to whoever you want to own them.

I'm looking in SCMDraft, but there is no player 12 in the player list. There's Neutral, and Neutral players, so I'm not sure which is the right one.

Neutral is just p12, while neutral players should work I think it include all players flagged as neutral in the player settings don't quote me on that though.

One thing to note...

Minerals and vespene geysers are considered Player 12's... So don't just use "all units" specify what you want to give away from P12

Neutral players is any player above 8, Neutral is just player 12, and Hugel, it won't matter anyway, unless for some reason you REALLY don't want them to own the resources.

Ugh, is everyone sure it means neutral players, not neutral AND players? It's giving units owned by players, not just neutral.

I changed it to neutral, not neutral players, but I haven't had the chance to test it with a friend yet to see if it works 100%.

Neutral players definetely do NOT include P1-8.
Neutral is P12, which is the player whom units of leavers are given. So it'll be fine.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
