How do i make these turrets stop popping up like this. I cant view my tables properly, and its quite annoying.

In game, it doesn't appear popped up like that.

He's talking about it being a problem while mapping in SCMDraft.

Alright, but it still would be nice to make this stop happening. I got a new version of SCMDraft and all of a sudden its doing this.

Yeah exactly.

Well, you can place sprites instead. The only problem with this is that units walk under it in-game.

My counter solution was to place the sprites first. Then layer the units on-top and then remove the sprites.

Yeah, for some reason SI made it pop up in the newer versions, nothing you can really do about it, 0.7.3 was the last version that they didn't pop up in.

I think the reason why he did this was so people could differentiate between different turrets more easily. (I know they look different, but this makes it alot easier + faster)

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
