I could for a day, but then I started using mods and now I can't anymore for some reason, and the mods don't even work anymore. I tried reupgrading, and doing other stuff, but nothing seems to be working, any help? (I would like to avoid reinstalling, too time consuming)

Were you using any uberly detectable hacks? (X: Apocalyspe) that could be a problem.
If not, and you were just using a mod to try it out, I suggest making a folder on desktop, moving any maps from your maps folder that you enjoy there, and then reinstalling and moving the maps back to your maps folder

Naw, I quit my hacking days long ago, all I would use now is a download status hack or something, and I don't even have one of those. I just started using BWAI mods like ORAI and AAAI and it stopped working.

Well I suggest doing this:

[quotename Lord Malvanis]Make a folder on desktop, moving any maps from your maps folder that you enjoy there, and any other programs or things you've saved around your starcraft folder, then reinstalling starcraft and moving the maps and things back to your maps or whatever folder.[/quote]
I would give you a different explanation but I'm unsure. Before reinstalling I suggest contacting blizzards support, you should get an answer from them by monday or the day after.

Heres the blizzard support page that might help your problem: Link

And this is the link to the webform so you can contact them if the support page doesn't help: Link

*sigh* Iv'e had this problem before, Wich mod(s) did you DL? if it's:
1. Xtra Editor
2. Starforge
3. Farty edit (If you downlaoded it from downlaods.com)
Then they most likely have infected your cpu.
you gotta reboot it. But it will uninstall SC so you'll have to reinstall it good luck

Odd, Very odd. I seem to have come across the same problem as you. My Battle.net hasn't been working either. I have just one question - Do you use Rogers? You answering this question may help us both =D

These are mods? If so how do you infect your processor with something if its on your hard drive? If you reboot your computer as in turn it off and on it will uninstall my SC?

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[2026-7-16. : 6:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
