It's late, and Leno's starting, so I don't have the energy to copy/paste and edit the entire first post, so here's a link to it: http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=39162.

I'm making a campaign detailing the Protoss' side of the original Terran and Zerg campaigns from Tassadar's point of view. I have the story down, just about (it'll be pretty tricky writing briefings and things, but those are the small details that CAN'T be uncanon), my problem is the gameplay style for each map. I have some good ideas, but I'm otherwise blank.

Also, I think I need a name for Tassadar's new command ship, since Aldaris takes the Gantrithor and most of the fleet after Tarsonis.

Shouldn't this go under Map Production?

You'd think so, but no. I haven't actually started making them, yet, so I don't have the obligatory screenshots.

Just so you know, I intend to put some thought into it and read your warboards post, but I've been rather busy with my own stuff the past week. I think it's a good idea though. I'm sure I'm not the only one that wishes they existed already.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
