Well allright, I actually figured out a problem by my self! I have successfully created (with lots of help) a FULLY FUNCTIONAL marine that can switch weapons!!!!

How the magic was made:
-i have weapons for all four units, basesand turrets
-In Advanced, for the bases: Mechanical-BattleReactions-FullAutoAttack-UseMediumOverlays are checked.
for the turrets: Invincable-Subunit-FullAutoAttack are checked.
-AI actions: Guard(Normal), Guard(Normal),Guard(Normal),Attack Unit(Normal),Guard(Normal) and NormalMovement/NormalAttack and AI internal: 3 for the bases
Guard(Subunit), Guard(Subunit),Guard(Subunit),StayInrange,Guard(Subunit) and NormalMovement/NormalAttack and AI internal: 3 for the turrets

I dont know how much is nessessary, but the problem was fixed in the Advanced tab.

oh please dont' say that Rory...

mankind dominated the world by constantly solving problems on their own...

and as a human being, you definately do have the ability to solve problems...

don't sound like that you can't do anything...

because YOU can...

best wishes on the modding journey :)

and i think... the problem resides within the battlereaction thingy...

It's weird cause normal siege tanks don't have the setup like the one that you have, and yet they work perfectly fine...

I STILL thinks that there is some way to solve this using iscript only, I don't wanna mess up the dat for my tank...

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
