An artist's depiction of an Extended Unit Death

Unfortunately, there is no specific help for the "10114: Acting like a gay fag" error. Maybe this link will help:

http://stormcoast-fortress.net/cntt/software/scxe/help/?PHPSESSID=ceb2cbe656e3db5ed5ffc4b584490be3

You could also post more details on what prevents Xtra Editor from working.

Personally, I prefer SCMDraft 2, which can be found at the same site, because it provides a lot more features in comparison to Xtra. A lot of other people prefer Starforge, which can be found here:

http://www.staredit.net/files/9/

Be warned: Starforge is notorious for corrupting the maps of those who are fairly inexperienced. Save backups.

As for the conversion packs: If it's useless, don't download it. If it really isn't useless and you want to use it, please provide more details. If you're talking about actual mods that you can't get to work, I would advise posting it in the Modding section, rather than the UMS Mapmaking section.

Good luck getting an editor of your choice working on your computer. :P Unless you have Vista, you shouldn't run into any major problems.

I alredy have scmdraft 2. it's just that... well... Xtra editor sounds cool. Many people have been talking about it. Xtra Editor seems like it'll have some stuff scmdraft 2 doesn't have. I remember someone telling me that Xtra Editor is bugged and will not work, but a can't remember wich forrum it was posted on :/
I just need help in finding the un-bugged one. Plus it won't let me DL any of from Falconier.
StarCraft is awsome but it won't let me get any updates for it. Please could you help me? :(

First of all SCMdraft > X-tra use SCMdraft, it really IS better.
and please, be more specific (first post)

Please report errors in the Staredit.Network forum.

You seem to confuse Xtra with Starforge.
Starforge has a few things ScmDraft doesn't have but is known to corrupt maps but it also doesn't have some things that ScmDraft has. So I personally recommend ScmDraft for the better UI.
X-tra is just a mod for Staredit and is inferior in any way. It might be a good choice for newbies though, due to the similarity to Staredit.

I have no problem downloading the map editors at *Falkoner's site

This might be from copying the StarCraft directory from another computer, rather than reinstalling with the CD, it can't update properly if it isn't registered. You can get a registry fixer for wherever you put it here.

Falconer I do have all the registration stuff. I have the CD and i DID install it. I have proof of it all. The biding contract between BLIZZARD and me has already been confermed. BTW: What does starforge have the scmdraft doesnt? O.O

Starforge can have clutter % on terrain, it works better with sprites, it's trigger editor is better at specialized triggers than SCM Draft's, and it can do arrays of units, other than that it's basically useless.

And I have no idea why you can't update, does it give you an error message or anything?

I don't know were the links to DL falconer's maps are.
there is just writing. I can't click anything that'll DL them :/
All it has are words and no links to DL.

Maybe if you read the words you'd understand, the two links are Falkoner's Host and Original Host, either one should let you download the program.

Are you really so incompetent that you cannot simply go into the Downloads section, type "Falkoner" into the search box and press enter?

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.
[06:26 am]
NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
