I really want to start making maps. Just Honstly dont know most of the commands or even know what to look for/ cracte units/Stop walling - Etc.. Fyi just tyring to make a Lucker Defence - Tried looking @ other maps and Reading just can't get the gand up it. if there Somthing i can Post off of, it Read, Other then each little Post about lil questions everyone having?



Questions -

Stacking
Creep Conlony - Sunken
Sending Unit to other Triggers.
Scaling units 1hp to 500hp / ='ing out the map
Ban Player


Can you give 10minerals if P1 Kills P2 Zealot?`1
Can you give 20minerlas if P2 Kills P3 Dragoon?

Hello

Hi, have fun with mapping.
Lucker or Lurker defense? :D

Stacking: Maybe use Lights? Turn off Shared vision with player X

Creep Colony - Sunken: You want to automatly "morph" creeper-colonys to sunkens? do this:
Create a 2x2 location. Now the triggers:
Players: [Your choice...^^]
Conditions: Current player / Player X commands at least 1 Creeper Colony
Actions: Preverse Trigger
Actions: Move the 2x2 Location on creeper colony at anywhere
Actions: remove 1 creeper colony at 2x2
Actions: create 1 sunken colony at 2x2

Sending Unit to other Triggers. You mean order units by triggers? use the action "order"

Scaling units 1hp to 500hp / ='ing out the map.... what??

Ban Player: one method: create a ghost for Player 1, and for each ban-able player a civ.
Trigger:
Player: the ban-able players
Condition: current player commands exactly 0 Civ -or- Current player has sufferd at least 1 Death of Civ
Actions: Display Text message: You've been kicked. Lol.
Actions: Defeat - end scenario for current player in a defeat.


Can you give 10 minerals if P1 kills P2 Zealot? Yes, Trigger:
Player: Player 1
Condition: P1 kills at least 1 Zealot
Condition: P2 has sufferd at least 1 Deaths of Zealots
Actions: set recources for Player 1: add 10 Ore

That system does NOT work perfectly, because you can't really detect which player killed which played's unit unless there are more players which could kill that unit and have the same units as well.

Anyway, copy that trigger and make it for your dragoon question. Is the same.

Thanks, And. THe HP thing, I was asking is that is it Better to go with Lower Number's on Defence Game or High Numbers?

High, because it's easier to balance it later.
With low numbers you will get a problem like this... dmg1, hp 3
Armor must be 0 or 1 anyway, so not good balance able

4 HP = too good
2 HP = too easy
3 HP = too easy

result: not balance able, so always make high numbers... :)

Thanks for you help, I think my last question is..

I dont understand the Trigger. Always says. Error.
Ill Type it in.
Like I found a command, under neth another Looker! defence -
Whats up with the right side, Where is Says giveunits, killunits..
But then I Type in the Full Tigger. It'll change on the right side.
Ionno if im making it harder then it is >.<

If you use SCMdraft: Don't use the text-trigger-editor
use the classic-editor.

Not too high and not too low. Stick with about the base values for the units and modify to your liking.
That way you can make boss waves.

The most important thing is that you balance it in a way that you don't have too many defenders or you will run into sprite limit. (Too many units shooting so not all units do damage, this is a StarCraft limitation)
