What clue? Spray-painting? Crushed to death? I suppose there is a little correlation since both appear, but they're both fairly common things. I'm not trying to start a bandwagon, I'm just suspicious of someone who previously didn't take an active role in the game and is now. Also, I'm suspicious of someone who tries to make up an alibi to explain it, which doesn't go with how they've been posting.
