Hello

Hi all
A couple of question:

#1
Is there any way to allow ideling Units to shot and follow the enemys when the map is speeded up? (p15 scarab)

#2
Is there any way to allow goliaths to shot when the map is speeded up? (P15 scarab)

#3
I just thought about this:
If you click a flag which is commanded by a player over 12 it'll crash because SC couldn't load the graphic of it.
So if you are making a transmission all the time the portrait wouldn't be shown, will it crash anyway?
If not; will it crash when someone is lagged out (wait 45 secounds) and the display will shown because the transmission is over?

#4
Is there any way to change the player-colors in normal melee? It seems so, but It doesn't work with SCMdraft I think

I can't test them at the moment, and I always wanted to ask those question... so please help :)

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Don't know about map speed increase.

#3
This is easy to check for yourself. I can help you with that lag window if you need a tester.

#4
Sure it works. But keep in mind that melee ignores forces and has randomized start locations.
Or you're experiencing the "frozen player color bug" which basically reverts all colors to standard, despite their setting in the editor. Saving in another editor should get rid of it.

No, it will just immediately crash, as SC is attempting to load it, and cannot find it.

4. As long as you save the map as .scx it should work fine.

None.

Well you can also fix that ''bug'' by saving that map with .scx P12+ colors are only for brood war. Idk why.

That is not a bug fix, that is a feature. We all know .scm can't display extended colors.

What I'm talking about is different. The map IS already .scx and the colors work just fine, and then you do something (we haven't figured the something yet, since it's so rare) and suddenly the colors revert back to standard in SC, but ScmDraft shows them correctly.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
