So I'm finally deciding to upgrade from my $15 walmart racket, but I don't know a thing about good rackets.
So I randomly chose this one because of the price.

I went to the part of the site where it tells me how to determine my grip
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/LC/Gripsize.html I used a ruler and got 4 and a half inches. When I go to select my grip type, it's giving me weird numbers like 3/8 and 1/2 that don't make any sense to me.
I wouldn't mind a link to an entirely new racket if you see a better one for less, like ex often does with his comp builds.
Here is what I care about:
Durability - has to be low maintenance. I won't be tweaking it or performing upkeeps.
Intermediate design - I don't want another large-head racket, or other beginner characteristics.
Cost - Less than $100 bucks.

It all depend on how you play. If you dont put as much spin on the ball, you want a tighter tension, if you want a lot of spin, you put on a lower tension. The grip is all personal choice, whichever you want, although i have no idea about the measuring, my friend usually just does that for me. Pre stringing, idk either.
As for finding a better racket, You dont get much better than that for that price.

What comes first is getting your tennis form right so for beginners and intermediate players I'd say you should just pick
any solid racket. Hmmm I liked this:
Head Radical. You can also find $70 dollar ones at walmart and those are good too. When you get your basics down, then you'll know what to look for in rackets: power, control, flexibility, etc etc...

do you like heavy rackets that hit hard or light rackets that do accuracy over power?
and does that racket cost only 90$
with strings or without them? phrased wrong, does it come strung or does it come w/o strings? (i know the price of the strings is shown)
